The Danish design duo Tabernacle Twins showed their Bridge of Twirls-collection this Thursday. Their AW12 collection was filled with oversized shirt dresses, oversized capes and…wait for it…oversized tees! However we Scandinavians like OS…- like a lot!
At the CPH Vision show you had to keep a straight face, to concentrate about the billion looks that went down the runway – to muck clothesformation! A mix-max off items; from Benedikte Utzon to Lise Lindvig to Style Butler and Steinum just to mention a few. A warm rum toddy that was handed half way through the show helped keeping our heads cold and fingers warm.
Was it print on the dress – no I don’t think so – it was art. Anne Sofie Madsen creates walking art pieces, and they look so much better then wearing the Mona Lisa.
Chunky jewellery combined with silky sportswear, fe(-male) suits and floor-sweeping shirts constituted the foundation for a beautiful, Shanghai 20’s-ish collection by Rützou.
The Danish power woman Karen Simonsen held her show at City Hall, where a beautiful wooden runway sat the scene for her AW12 collection. We don’t know if Simonsen crafted the runway herself, however the models looked like anything else but craftsmen, that’s for sure.
They did win – both Max Factor designer of the year, and my heart (… the last being the most prestigious – of course). Spon Diogo has a gift for creating these fantastic sculptural, warrior-ish (read: uniform) silhouettes.
Ole Yde knows how to dress women. That we must say! With decency and diversity Yde keept on holding our attention showing us his AW12 collection. (more…)
Could I please order a ‘Men’s traditional tux with fantastic, minimalistic details, and women’s spider-web-panty-hoes’ – a cocktail so strong, yet delicious, it makes even the most hard-core critique soften up
In this Siberian ice-land-ish weather, only a graphically cut, floral printed fur could keep me warm – unfortunately, I had only my suede leather jacket (… not warm enough). (more…)
