The all-black design of Aniv Von Borche emphasizes the sharp, yet classic and modern-edgy silhouettes of his design. The dichotomy between symmetry and asymmetry seemed like the core around which he works.
Ready for take-off – that was my first thought watching the Designers Remix show at Kastrup Airport – and my second thought was F…-Me-Hard, that is just awesome.
You could feel a buzz of excitement from the fashion crowd this Thursday night at City Hall. Why you might ask? Well you see Peter Ingwersen was hired by Keld Mikkelsen last summer, and now we wanted to see, if Ingwersen had given the Day collection his ‘noir touch’.
Stine Goya has golden freckles on her cheeks – and so did her models. Stine Goya lives in a humongous-golden-apple – so does her models (… okay, I took it too far).
The Finish design duo took us to a playful world of bubble print and funky silver detailing. However we didn’t really get the bubbles? It was kind of 2000 and late. Everything looked (to my eyes) the same and unfortunately there were a lot of them…bubbles.
Palm tree prints, leopard leather coats with matching hat, and lemon grass colours – that sounds like the mixture for a weekend in Miami. However, it is how the Baum Und Pferdgarten collection presented itself on the runway.
Cowgirl-Western-ish shirts and skirts in washed colours was the foundation of the Munthe plus Simonsen collection. To be completely honest – the washed out bohemian design, seems just as washed out as the brand itself. Additionally, the extensive collection may just tell us something about the thoughts put into the so-10-years-ago design.
Drum, drum, drum (…heart sound). Danish Designer Henrik Vibskov definitely holds a special place in my heart. Creating suede coats with zipper-details, blazer-jackets with integrated bag-packs, and Philip-Lim-ish trousers/ man-dresses, for men, goes directly into my trousers (word-pun intended).
Nimb was yet again full of an eagerly awaiting fashion crowd as Norwegian designer Veronica presented us with an elegant, softly draped and a rather classic range of silhouettes. These combined with exhilarating golden statement jewellery from Bjørg – which looked a bit like the ones we were presented to half a year ago?
The cave man is in (well…), read into what you want. However, according to Jean//Phillip the AW12 man should have a beard that would put Santa-to-shame, whilst wearing leather and fur – cave man anno 2012 (…I kinda fancied it).
